Online reservations are required for all pool programs. Reservations must be booked by 1:00 pm on the day of the pool session. Reservations made after 1:00 pm and walk-in reservations will not be accepted.
Cancellations with 48 hours or more notice before the program start time will receive a full refund. Cancellations with less than 48 hours’ notice will result in forfeiture of the entire program fee. If Sea Kayak Connecticut cancels a class or an open session due to lack of minimum enrollment, severe weather, or an emergency, clients will be contacted and may opt to reschedule their program or receive a full refund.
If Sea Kayak Connecticut determines weather conditions are unsuitable for an upcoming pool program the session will be canceled and all booked reservations will be notified. Plan to attend your program regardless of the weather in your immediate area or the forecasted weather at the pool location.
For all pool programs, you may either bring your own equipment or rent it from Sea Kayak Connecticut. Please contact us if you are unsure as to whether or not your equipment is suitable for one of our pool programs. Life jackets are required and must be worn by all participants while in the pool.
An online liability release form is included with each reservation made and must be completed before arriving at the pool facility. This form only needs to be completed once and is valid for any other Sea Kayak Connecticut reservations.
14 years old is the minimum age requirement to participate in our pool programs.
Paddle-specific clothing is highly recommended for pool programs. Water shoes and synthetic or neoprene apparel will make for a comfortable day in the pool.
Personal Info for Rentals
To properly fit your kayak, paddle, life jacket, and spray skirt rentals, approximate height and weight are required when making reservations.
Punctuality and Preparedness
To ensure everyone receives the full measure of their scheduled program, it is important to arrive on time. Please arrive at least 15 minutes before the class starts to unload your gear, change clothes, and stretch.
