At Sea Kayak Connecticut, we believe in student-centered instruction that engages our clients and produces successful outcomes. Our coastal kayak instructors are certified by the American Canoe Association (ACA), and our teaching fleet consists of composite sea kayaks, neoprene skirts, carbon-shaft paddles, and breathable life jackets.

Introduction to Sea Kayaking

Designed for the beginner to intermediate paddler, this class covers sea kayaking equipment, strokes, and maneuvers.

POOL PROGRAMS

Our winter indoor pool programs allow paddlers to comfortably practice, and improve their skills during the colder months of the year. The programs include open pool sessions, rescue classes, and kayak rolling instruction. All offerings are held concurrently at the Norwalk High School from January through April and are suitable for all skill levels. Paddlers bring their own equipment (kayak, skirt, life jacket, and paddle) to use or rent equipment for $50 per session.

Open Pool Sessions

Practice rolling, bracing, and rescues in the comfort of a heated indoor pool.
