The BOMBORA represents a finely-tuned pairing of power and responsiveness.

The Bombora is designed for medium to larger-build paddlers. It is a robust and versatile touring paddle. The blade shape affords a solid catch and provides a smooth feel through each stroke. It also has shorter blades, which cater to high angle paddling and allow for a quick exit when an increased cadence and sudden acceleration are needed.

Paddle: Length: 48 cm – Width: 19 cm – Area: 670 cm sq.

Flattened Spine

A flatter and wider spine creates a stiffer, more powerful paddle. The end of the spine is merged into the paddle, and the corners are radiused resulting in a more hydrodynamic back face.

End Caps

End cap reinforcing helps prevent wear and increases the rigidity of the blade tips.

Lever Lock Connector

The compact and efficient lever lock offers a tight shaft connection and a range of feathering options for both left and right-handed paddlers.

Adjustable Length Spigot

This feature allows the paddle shaft to be extended up to ten centimeters from its base length.

Straight Shafts:

205cm – 210cm – 215cm (each length can extend 10cm)

Perfect for those that prefer a more traditional feel, straight shafts provide a confident and comfortable measure of paddle control. Featuring raised indexing, the Mitchell Blades straight shafts are typically lighter, more flexible, and more impact-absorbent than their bent shaft counterparts.

The Mitchell Blades straight shafts are a blended carbon and fiberglass matrix. This pairing produces a remarkably light paddle shaft that is stiff enough to respond quickly but still retains a touch of flexibility.  The blended matrix is designed for both aesthetics and for reducing paddler fatigue.

Neutral Bent Shafts:

205cm – 210cm – 215cm (each length can extend 10cm)

A neutral bend means that the blade, ferrule, and grip are all in a straight line. The configuration provides the familiar feel of a straight shaft with the added benefit of ergonomic positioning. The linear alignment reduces the stresses placed on the wrist by repetitive extensor (cocking the hand back) and flexor (rolling the hand forward) motion and helps prevent wrist fatigue.

The Mitchell Blades neutral bent shafts are a blended carbon and fiberglass matrix. This pairing produces a remarkably light paddle shaft that is stiff enough to respond quickly but still retains a touch of flexibility.  The blended matrix is designed for both aesthetics and for reducing paddler fatigue.

Carbon Hybrid construction

The Carbon Hybrid construction process yields a highly finished blade that is both beautiful and robust. The layup consists of aerospace-grade carbon fiber for lightness, carbon reinforcing panels for strength, and, an integrated aero-foam spine for rigidity. The reinforced tip, strategically designed dihedral, and contoured back face provide a lightweight and efficient blade.

Neutral Bent Shafts: 2 Piece $475

Translucent Fiberglass construction

The translucent fiberglass layup produces a high-impact resistant blade that is both extremely rigid and visually appealing. The construction utilizes a premium-grade Diolen fabric for lightness, multi-layer reinforcing panels for strength, and, an integrated aero-foam spine for rigidity. The reinforced tip, strategically designed dihedral, and contoured back face provide a sturdy and lightweight blade.
